The 26th Kayan National Day, which falls on April 10, 2026, is not only a day to preserve traditional customs and cultural heritage, but also a significant and honorable occasion to pay deep respect and tribute to the Kayan martyrs and heroes who sacrificed their lives, blood, and sweat for the building of a new nation during the revolutionary period.

On behalf of the Interim Executive Council of Karenni State (IEC), we extend our best wishes for the successful realization of the genuine aspirations for freedom of all Kayan people around the world.

The strong historical legacy of the Kayan people serves as a driving force that guides us through the present dark times toward the light.All of us carry a political and historical responsibility to completely break free from the oppression of military dictatorship and to establish a genuine Federal Democratic Union founded on justice, equality, and human rights.To successfully fulfill this great responsibility, it is especially important to strengthen national unity to the highest level.
