Myanmar has historically been a country formed by diverse ethnic nationalities. Historically, even before the colonial period, the Karenni State existed as an independent and sovereign entity. Therefore, the emergence of the Karenni State Interim Executive Council, which represents an effort by the Karenni people to create and determine their own destiny. We, the Myanmar Royal Dragon Army, are warmly welcomed by this Message of Honor, respectfully express in recognition of this Executive body.
The Karenni State Interim Executive Council has clearly highlighted to the entire people of Myanmar that the time for the end of the military dictatorship and the establishment of a Union based on a federal system that guarantees national equality and the right to self-determination is not that far. We also fully support the Council’s clear vision for the future aimed at peace, stability, and development of the Union, and the administrative authority of Karenni State must be placed in the hands of the Karenni people themselves.
Guided by firm political direction and strong military leadership, the revolutionary forces in Karenni State have been patiently and effectively united to confront and defeat the terrorist military regime, advancing steadily toward revolutionary victory. In this journey, we extend our sincere and special gratitude to all Karenni leaders, together with the leaders of the Interim Executive Council, who have worked very closely with the MRDA, supporting and cooperating as close allies in the same struggle.
On behalf of the Myanmar Royal Dragon Army, we respectfully express this message, and we hereby seriously show our commitment to stand and fight in close and trusting partnership with the Karenni State Interim Executive Council as strong revolutionary allies like brothers throughout the entire journey of the revolution to overthrow the military dictatorship and to build a Federal Union system that guarantees equal rights for all ethnic nationalities.
