We express our deep sorrow for the passing of  Mar Kho Ei Chit Htun, who served both as Deputy Minister for Federal Union Affairs of the National Unity Government(NUG) and as a Central Committee Member of the Karenni Nationalities People’s Liberation Front(KNPLF). He passed away in September 2025, due to suffering from illnesses. On this sad occasion, the Karenni State Interim Executive Council (IEC) extends its profound condolences and shares its deepest sympathy with the family.

Until his final moments, Mar Kho Ei Chit Htun actively and tirelessly contributed to the efforts of building a Federal Democratic Union, and provided strong support for ethnic unity and youth affairs within Karenni State. For these contributions, he will be recognized and recorded in the historical record of Karenni State.

This loss is a profound loss for the political and revolutionary struggle of the Karenni State.
