Incidents of destruction, breaking, theft, illegal stripping and selling of property, and purchasing of public property and civilians’ household belongings have been occurring within the conflict areas of Karenni State.
To address and prevent such undisciplined and unlawful acts, and in accordance with the resolution adopted at the meeting held on May 8, 2024 by the allied forces comprising with Karenni State Interim Executive Council (IEC), Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP), Karenni Nationalities People’s Liberation Front (KNPLF), Karenni National Peace and Development Party (KNPDP), Karenni National Solidarity Organization (KNSO), Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF), and The Demoso People’s Defense Force (DMO-Local PDF), are hereby issued the order as follow,
- All illegal acts, including breaking, theft, illegal stripping and selling of property, purchasing, and destruction of public property and civilians’ homes and belongings, whether within conflict areas of Karenni State or elsewhere, are strictly prohibited.
- Effective action will be taken if any person is found committing the above acts firmly, in accordance with this order.
