Statement Regarding the Shooting Down of an Illegal Military Junta Fighter Aircraft by Karenni Allied Revolutionary Forces

Karenni Allied Revolutionary Forces have successfully shot down a junta fighter jet amid intense battles in Hpa Saung Township.

Since launching operations against the junta’s LIB-134 and LIB-135 on June 25, 2025, our forces captured LIB-134 on June 30, 2025. Throughout this period, the illegal military junta has conducted relentless airstrikes using various jet fighters and military transport aircraft.

On July 2, 2025, at approximately 1:00 AM, Karenni Allied Revolutionary Forces engaged and shot down a Chinese-made FTC-2000G fighter jet that was among four junta aircraft attempting to bomb Hpasawng. The wreckage was discovered near Hpa Saung town around 2:00 PM on July 3, 2025, along with the remains of two pilots.

The Karenni Allied Revolutionary Forces remain committed to countering all junta airstrikes and military aggression with maximum determination.
