- On the occasion of the 24th Kayan National Day, which falls today on 10 April 2024, we extend our best wishes to all of the Kayan people for good physical and mental health, safety, and well-being, and we respectfully commemorate and share our celebration of this significant day.
- The proud historical traditions of the Kayan people, particularly their struggles for anti-colonial and their resistance against the military dictatorships and all forms of authoritarian rule, have consistently served as a driving force in the effort to build a Federal Democratic Union that shows guarantees of equality and the right to self-determination.
- We acknowledge and highly value the dedicated efforts of the Kayan people to establish shared Karenni political aspirations, including the reunification of all Karenni peoples as one community, within the historically recognized Karenni territories comprising Mong Pai, Kantarawaddy, Kyae Phe Gyi, and Bawlakhe.
- Since the beginning of the nationwide movement opposing military dictatorship and all forms of authoritarian rule, many Kayan people, including youth, women, and men, have actively participated like every ethnic group across the country since 1 February 2021, and have continued till today.
- In building a Federal Democratic Union based on equality and democracy through mutual recognition, we acknowledge the great vital role of the Kayan people. Thus, with this commemorative message, we encourage them to unite in efforts to end military dictatorship and all forms of authoritarian rule and to work together toward the establishment of a Federal Democratic Union.
