1. On the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF), which falls on 31 May 2026, we extend our heartfelt wishes for the safety and well-being of all KNDF personnel who, together with the people of Karenni State, have continued to serve with selflessness, dedication, and sacrifice in various capacities for the liberation from military dictatorship, the realization of self-determination, and the establishment of a Federal Democratic Union.
We would also like to solemnly honor and commemorate the KNDF martyrs and heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice by giving their lives in battles throughout the revolutionary struggle. Likewise, we pay our deepest respect and tribute to those members who have endured injuries and the loss of limbs in the course of these battles.
2. Over the past five years, the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF), with the steadfast support of the people, has overcome numerous hardships and challenges. To this day, it continues to stand at the forefront of the resistance movement, working hand in hand with allied revolutionary forces. We therefore wish to express our recognition and appreciation for the KNDF’s achievements, perseverance, and sacrifices.
Furthermore, drawing upon the experiences and lessons learned throughout the revolution, we encourage the KNDF to continue strengthening and developing into a more capable, disciplined, and institutionalized force—one that remains loyal to the people and steadfast in upholding military rules, regulations, and ethical standards.
3. We sincerely wish the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) continued success in advancing toward its military and political objectives and in creating many more proud chapters in history. We also hope that, during the future transitional period and the process of building a Federal Union, the KNDF will actively cooperate with other allied forces in laying the foundations for a future state security force and in strengthening the pillars of a democratic federal union.
