Today, in commemoration of the Myanmar New Year and in consideration of and respected to the principles of humanitarian, a total of 234 prisoners have been granted amnesty and sentence reductions. This includes 25 prisoners who are currently serving in various prisons/ detention centers and who received full amnesty, and 209 prisoners who have been granted sentence reductions. These measures have been implemented in accordance with Section 75, Subsection(b) of the Interim Arrangements of the Karenni State.
