On February 28, 2024, the Karenni Nurse Association (KNA) was established as part of the people’s revolution against the illegal military coup, and as of today, it marks the second anniversaryof its founding.

We acknowledge and honor the invaluable efforts of KNA during these two years, working through various difficulties and challenges to ensure the Karenni people have access to healthcare services.

The Interim Executive Council of Karenni State (IEC) proudly recognizes and respects KNA’s two-year work to fill the gaps in the health sector and provide quality health services to the people. We send this message with wishes for continued enhanced efforts in public health services in the future.
