Maw Poe Myar has been a member of the Interim Executive Council of Karenni State (IEC) since its establishment in 2023. She brings over ten years of experience working with various international organizations, both in Myanmar and abroad. Currently, she holds a leadership position in the IEC cabinet and serves as the treasurer, where she is responsible for planning, managing, and evaluating public finances.

In her role as treasurer, she plays a crucial part in implementing public finance policies. Her expertise in public financial management and budgeting enhances the effective use of public funds for delivering services, responding to humanitarian needs, and fostering economic growth and development. Through her meticulous approach to public financial management, she contributes to creating an efficient system for managing public finances during the interim period in Karenni State.
